1.Age over 18 years.
2.Patients presenting with first ever ischemic stroke causing aphasia (mixed expressive and receptive).
3.A duration of 3 months to 1 year from onset of stroke.
4.Mild to moderate aphasia according to Western aphasia battery scale (score >50).
1.Previous ischemic stroke or hemorrhagic stroke.
2.Contraindications to tDCS as: a history of epilepsy, intracranial surgeries, skull defects or pregnant females.
3. Scoring 14 or more out of 30 in Stroke Aphasia Depression Questionnaire 10.
