Inclusion Criteria

Patients undergoing general surgical, gynaecological and orthopaedic

procedures under General Anaesthesia.

ASA grade I and II.

Duration of surgery 1-3 hours.

Patients with as well as without Naso-gastric (Ryleâ??s tube) in situ. (inserted post induction, intraoperatively)

Exclusion Criteria

Unwilling Patients.

Mallampatti classification > 2.

Patients with preoperative sore throat or URTI within last 7 days of

surgery.

Known allergies to Benzydamine Hydrochloride.

All pregnant mothers.

Patients with gastro-esophageal reflux/ regurgitation.
