Inclusion Criteria
1. Hospitalized children of age group 1-15 years presenting with 1st episode of nephrotic syndrome (as per criteria given in annexure 1)
2. Children whose parents/guardians are willing to give written informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Children whose parents/guardians are not willing to give written informed consent to participate in the study.
2. Children with malabsorption
3. Children with malnutrition
4. Children with hepatic problems
5. History of chronic illness
6. Secondary causes of nephrotic syndrome.
