The patient should be willing to give consent for the study.
The patient should not be intoxicated or in severe withdrawal at the time of intake as well as before neuropsychological assessments at 2 and 8 weeks. (COWS score < 25).
The patient should be accompanied by a family member or caregiver.
6 years of formal education of patient required.18
Patient willing to provide urine sample for the screening of opioid.
Patient with co-morbid dependence on other substances except for nicotine and caffeine.
A patient diagnosed with any active major mental illness (psychotic or bipolar disorders, dementia) which causes impairment in neuropsychological profile.
Presence of evidence of sub-normal intelligence.
Patient with history of diagnosis with medical conditions including cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, head injury with a concussion, epilepsy/seizure disorder, Parkinsonism, systemic illness and any other organic disease which can impair the neuropsychological profile.
The patient who test positive for HIV.
Actively suicidal cases.
