Study Overview

Brief Summary

This is a trial to compare the effects of growth factor concentrate vs topical minoxidil for treatment of Androgenetic alopecia. The results will be evaluated based on Norwood-Hamilton score, Ludwig score, Sinclaire grading and Modified global photographic assessment score which will be recorded on every visit. Sittings will be done at monthly intervals for 3 months and then at 6 months. At the end of 6 months, comparison will be done based on these scores.

Inclusion Criteria

  • All diagnosed with stable type of Androgenetic alopecia.
  • Patients with hair type II-V according to Norwood-Hamilton scale for males.
  • Patients with hair type I-II according to Ludwig scale for females.
  • Patients who are willing to abstain from other treatments.
  • Patients who have completed written consent form.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients who refused to participate.
  • Patients with other type of alopecia as a diagnosis.
  • Patients suffering from seborrheic dermatitis, tines capitis or any other scalp infection.
  • Patients undergoing any form of chemo or radiotherapy.
  • Patients found to be allergic to constituents of GFC.
  • Pregnant and lactating females, chronic smokers or alcoholics.
  • Patients who have taken any treatment for past 3 months.
