For Study Participants:
Anaesthesia residents with 6-12 months of training
For Patients undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia:
1. ASA I/II
2. 18-60 years
3. Surgery requiring arterial cannulation in elective surgery
For Study Participants:
1.Participant refusal
2.Residents who are already trained in radial artery cannulation
3.Residents who have done >5 radial artery cannulations
For Patients:
1.Patient refusal
2.Abnormal modified Allenââ?¬•s test
3.Peripheral vascular disease
4.SBP <90 mm of Hg
5.BMI >30 kg/cm2
6.Patients with arrhythmia, tachycardia
7.Patients with any other contraindication for radial arterial cannulation
8.Local infection at site of cannulation
9.Patients with coagulopathy
10. Emergency surgery
