1. Women aged between 40-55 years.
2. Women experiencing climacteric symptoms like hot flashes, insomnia/sleep
disturbances and other changes that may impair personal or social interactions and
diminish the overall quality of life.
3. Perimenopausal women with amenorrhea for at least 3 months but less than 12
months or irregular periods.
4. Pittsburgh sleep quality index score 5 and above.
5. Insomnia severity index score 8 and above.
6. Subjects who can read and understand English and Hindi.
1. Females undergoing Hormone Replacement Therapy [HRT].
2. Women already practicing yoga for a month or more, or who are physically active
(exercising >2times/week, for at least 30 minutes each time).
3. Subjects who have surgically or medically induced menopause.
4. History of any diagnosed psychiatric illness and taking psychiatric medication.
5. History of any musculoskeletal conditions that may hamper the practice sessions
of yoga therapy.
6. Females with uncontrolled hypertension [140-159/90-99mmHg] or diabetes
mellitus [Random BSL >200mg/dl] which may affect the vasomotor symptoms.
7. Females diagnosed with Hypothyroidism or Hyperthyroidism.
8. Pregnancy.
