Patients older than 21 years coming to gynaecology department for various indications for diagnostic and minor operative hysteroscopy that includes polypectomy endometrial biopsy and foreign body removal will be included in the study.
1.Previous PID
2.Need for prolong operative hysteroscopy
3. Contraindications to hysteroscopy
4. Diagnosed case of pelvic endometriosis
5. Allergy to lignocaine
6. History of previous failed hysteroscopy
7. Patient with psychologic or neurologic disorders affecting perception of pain
