- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Incidence of hypotension among the two groups as evaluated by a greater than 20 % decrease in the mean arterial pressure from the baseline or a MAP less than 65mmHgTimepoint: Time points when there is a fall in MAP by 20 % or MAP less than 65mmHg
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Immunomodulatory and neuroprotective efficacy as assessed by Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and High sensitive CRP (HsCRP)Timepoint: Before induction and at the end of surgery;Quality of brain relaxationTimepoint: At the time of dura opening; To assess the Cardiac indices by non invasive cardiac output monitor and cerebral oxygen saturation with non invasive cerebral oximetryTimepoint: Awake supine

Awake sitting

5 mins post induction

Prior to and after application of elastic bandages

5 mins after achieving the sitting position

During surgery every 15 mins

5 mins after repositioning the patient in supine position; To assess the following parameters between two groups

Requirement of fluid boluses, vasoconstrictors and inotropes to treat hypotensionTimepoint: At times when there is fall in MAP (less than 65mmHg)
