Age range of 40-70 years in women and men
Distal radius fracture must be extra auricular
Distal radius fracture should be without comminution
Distal radius fracture should not be open fracture
The patient should not have a history of a previous fracture of distal radius
The patient has any accompanying fracture in other areas of the upper limb on the same side, including a fracture in the ulnar styloid
The patient has nerve damage with this fracture
The patient has a history of diabetes mellitus
