Diagnosis of a unipolar depression or a bipolar affective disorder (I and II)
-Current or planned lithium therapy in inpatient treatment
-Ability to consent
-Signed written consent
-Diagnosis of an antisocial or other heavy personality disorder
-Schizophrenia
-Strong cognitive impairment, e.g. dementia or reduced intelligence
-Withdrawal of consent
-Renal insufficiency stage 3 and higher (GFR 30-59), severe cardiac or circulatory disease
-Institutionalization by court or official order (according to AMG § 40 (1) 4)
