Inclusion Criteria

1. patient with clinical symptoms suspected of septic arthritis of the knee, shoulder and hip joint
2. patient within age of 18-80 years old
3. patient with synovial fluid analysis of WBC count more than 50,000 cells/mm2 in native joint or patient with history of joint replacement within 90 days with synovial fluid analysis of WBC count more than 10,000 cells/mm2 or patient with history of joint replacement more than 90 days with synovial fluid analysis of WBC count more than 3,000 cells/mm2 or patient who is diagnosed as septic arthritis by specialists

Exclusion Criteria

1. patient who failed arthrocentesis
2. patient who has contraindication for arthrocentesis such as skin and soft tissue around arthrocentesis site, coagulopathy etc.
3. patient who failed to obtain more than 5 cc of synovial fluid
