Ischemic stroke according to WHO criteria
- Successful thrombectomy
- Good functional outcome (mRS = 2)
- Informed consent signed by patients themselves
- German language proficiency
- Delir
- Alcohol dependence
- Patients unable to give consent, e.g., global aphasia
- Inclusion in another clinical study
- Prior neurological disease (multiple sclerosis, dementia, Parkinson's disease)
- Prior psychiatric illness (psychiatric illness diagnosed and treated before stroke: depression, anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychotic and bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder)
- Existing drug treatment with antidepressants and/or neuroleptics
