Voluntary participation of both partners, age >= 45, woman post-menopausal, partnership duration = 2 years, intact, healthy partnership with a mentally and physically healthy partner, ability of both partners to give consent.
Chronic, severe physical illness (esp. endocrinological, cardiovascular, neurological, nephrological, and hepatic diseases), chronic mental disorders (esp. schizophrenic disorders, acute major affective disorder/bipolar disorder), acute suicidality, current substance abuse and addictive disorders, heavy smoking (= 20 cigarettes per day), acute depressive symptoms.

Name Time Method Cortisol, alpha amylase, and oxytocin in saliva measured 6 times daily for 2 consecutive days during eyery-day life.

Name Time Method Subjective well-being, self-reported stress (PSS-10), anxiety and depression (HADS), symptom burden (SCL-K9), relationship satisfaction (PFB).
