the age range of 4 to 9 years; have an intentional desire and satisfaction to participate in the study having pre-extracted or lost primary 1st molar without losing its space; having decayed second primary molar adjacent to lost first primary molar that need pulpotomy and crown, presence of replacement permanent tooth bud; absence of root furcation involvement in the abutment tooth; absence of abscesses and tooth mobility in abutment tooth; more than 6 months remain until eruption of replace permanent tooth and having good oral hygiene will select for the purpose of study.
Exclusion criteria: not to visit for follow up sessions; If the patient does not continue to cooperate in the study and does not consent to continue cooperation in this research project.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Survival rate of space maintainers. Timepoint: 1, 3, 6, 9 months after space maintainers application. Method of measurement: by observing each of cement solution, failure of soldering, deformation of each component of band and loops.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Gingival health. Timepoint: 1, 3, 6, 9 months after space maintainers application. Method of measurement: gingival index.
