Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Age between 18 to 80 years old
- •Schedule for elective major abdominal and thoracic surgery
- •Plan to place epidural catheter insertion for perioperative and postoperative pain control
Exclusion Criteria
- •Refuse to participate in the study
- •ASA physical status \> III
- •Having contraindication for neuraxial block
- •Having thoracic spine deformity
- •Having a history of thoracic spine surgery
- •Morbid obesity (BMI more than 35 kg/m2\)
- •Allergy to local anesthetic drug
