Overview
Brief Summary
When changing ventilation mode, tidal volume and mean tracheal pressure were kept constant at the same PEEP. With VCV, peak pressures were higher, tracheal peak pressures did not differ significantly. Plateau pressures did not show significant differences. There were no differences between ventilator modes in both dynamic compliance and transpulmonary compliance. Similarly, no differences between VCV and PCV were found in electroimpedance tomography.
