Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients with a) suspected or proven lung cancer (study group) or b) COPD (control
- •2\. scheduled for bronchoscopy and/or surgical resection at the Medical Center Freiburg
- •3\. Male and female patients, \= 18 years of age
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients with history of systemic corticosteroids and/or immunosuppressive therapy in the last 12 months before enrolment
- •2\. Patients with history of systemic antibiotics for any reason in the last 4 weeks before enrolment
- •3\. Patients with history of chemotherapy and/or radiation
