Subjects between the age group of 26 to 49 years. Subjects who have not received periodontal therapy, in the previous six
months.
Subjects who readily give informed consent for the study.
subjects with gingival index 0, clinical attachment level 0 will be
included as periodontally Healthy.
Subjects with gingival index greater than and equal to 1, maximum pocket probing depth less than and equal to 4mm,
mostly horizontal bone loss, clinical attachment level 1-2 mm affecting less than and equal to 30% teeth involved with radiographic bone loss extending to the coronal-third (less than 15%) and no teeth loss due to periodontitis will be included as stage 1 grade A periodontitis.
Patients with any systemic disorders
Patients with a history of smoking
Pregnant and lactating females. Patients who have received any periodontal treatment in the previous 6 months
Subjects who have received antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs or any
other drugs within 6 months.

Name Time Method 1.To determine the levels of LRG in gingival crevicular fluid of periodontally

healthy patients.

2.To determine the levels of LRG in gingival crevicular fluid of stage 1 grade A

periodontitis patient.

3. To compare levels of LRG in gingival crevicular fluid of periodontally healthy

and stage 1 grade A periodontitis patient.

4. To correlate effect of scaling and root planning on level of leucine-rich alpha 2 glycoprotein (LRG) in gingival crevicular fluid in stage 1 grade A periodontitis

patientsTimepoint: At baseline and at 6 weeks
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To correlate between clinical parameters like plaque index, Gingival Index, Probing Depth, Clinical Attachment Levels, Bleeding On Probing and levels of

leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein (LRG) in gingival crevicular fluid.Timepoint: at baseline and plaque index, Gingival Index, Probing Depth, Clinical Attachment Levels, Bleeding On Probing at 6 weeks in stage 1 grade A periodontitis in patients.
