- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Change in muscle mass or the ratio of fat to muscle mass after 12 weeks of ingestion of 15 grams of collagen peptides compared to a placebo (DEXA and BIA)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The following parameters are measured before and after the 12-week intervention:

- hand force (hand dynamometer)
- isometric strength and rate of force development (RFD) of the legs (leg press)
- fat mass (DEXA and BIA)
- postural control (SPPB test and Posturomed)
- parameters of the metabolic risk profile (abdominal girth, triglycerides, blood pressure, glucose, HbA1c, HDL-, LDL- and total cholesterol)
