Inclusion Criteria

Patients more than 18 years old with chest pain onset less than 12 hours and diagnosed with acute anterior ST-elevation myocardial infarction( STEMI), undergoing successful primary PCI in the Tabriz Madani Heart Center.

Exclusion Criteria

Ventricular tachycardia,ventricular fibrilation,complete heart block,copmlete LBBB(Left Bundle Branch Block), /RBBB(Right Bundle branch Block) at admission
Previous MI , heart failure or previous revascularization(PCI or Coronary artery bypass graft)
Severe valvular heart disease
Current allopurinol users
Contraindications to allopurinol use
Patients who have undergone only ballon angioplasty due to inappropriate coronary anatomy for stenting
Cardiogenic shock,heart failure with killip class 2 or higher at admission
Previous stroke or stroke at admission
Abnormal uric acid levels above upper limit of normal

Primary Outcome Measures

Intra Hospital Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events(MACE). Timepoint: Hospitalization Period. Method of measurement: Number of Major adverse cardiac events including death and acute heart failure.;Ischemic stroke. Timepoint: 1, 6 and 12 months after discharge. Method of measurement: Documented past medical history.;Heart failure. Timepoint: 1, 6 and 12 months after discharge. Method of measurement: clinical evidence of Heart failure via questionaire.;Mortality. Timepoint: 1, 6 and 12 months after discharge. Method of measurement: Questionaire.

ST resolution >50 %. Timepoint: Admission to emergency room, 90 minutes after primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention(PCI).
