American Society of Anaesthesiologists Physical Status ( ASAPS ) l and ll scheduled for elective standardized surgeries under general anaesthesia with muscle relaxation requiring endotracheal intubation
Patients with severe cardio pulmonary diseases
Laparoscopic surgeries
Pregnant women
Obese patients
The presence of any gas filled , space occupying lesion
Surgery duration less than 2 hours
Patients with anticipated blood loss of more than 20 % of volume and hypothermia
Neuromuscular disorders , hearing disabilities
