All patients with native severe aortic stenosis (AS) who underwent transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TF-TAVI) in West German Heart and Vascular Center, Essen, from January 2006 to July 2016.
(1) Severe aortic regurgitation, degenerated aortic bioprosthesis or bicuspid aortic valve as a primary indication for transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TF-TAVI), (2) Baseline transthoracic echocardiography not performed in our center, (3) TF-TAVI abrted/not performed

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method All-cause mortality at 30-day and 1-year follow-up. Mortality status (yes/no) and date were obtained from medical records, telephone contact with patients, next kin or their family physicians. Patients were censored at time of death or completion of 1-year follow-up, whichever occurred first.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Interaction between the impact of baseline left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and low gradient aortic stenosis (LGAS) on 30-day and 1-year mortality after TF-TAVI. This interaction will be assessed with Kaplan Meier method and Cox regression analysis.
