Subjects with healthy periodontium , with chronic generalized gingivitis and chronic generalized gingivitis and chronic generalized periodontitis having a breath checker reading of >2
Subjects with bleeding on probing present
No oral debridement has been rendered within the previous 6 months
Willingness to comply with the study protocol
Subjects having minimum of 20 teeth
Periodontitis subjects having a probing pocket depth of >5 mm
Subjects suffering from any known systemic disease or major oral lesions
Subjects who had received any antibiotic therapy in the last 6 months
Subjects who had received any chemotherapeutic mouth rinses and oral irrigation during the past one month
Subjects who are smokers, alcoholics, and with chewing habits
Pregnant and lactating mothers
Subjects with dietary halitosis from garlic and onion
Subjects with deep dentinal caries and food lodgement
Subjects with missing maxillary right first molar
Subjects unable or not willing to comply with the study protocol
