1. Pregnant women posted for Caesarean section at term
2.Pregnant patients with no known major comorbidities affecting neonatal outcome
3.Patients consenting for study
4.Antenatal level 2 normal USG
5.Maternal age less than 50 years
1. Patients not giving consent for the study
2. Patients with severe preeclampsia or eclampsia
3. Known allergy to local anesthetics
4. Uncorrected hypovolemia
5. Pregnancies complicated with severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
6. Maternal age more than 50 years
7. Patients with raised intracranial pressure
8. Patients with coagulation disorders and bleeding diasthesis
