Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients aged above 18 years
2. Patients having clinical features suggestive of sepsis as defined by Sepsis-3 definition (2016) at the time of ICU admission
Exclusion Criteria
1. The patient/relatives who refused to give Informed consent
2. Age less than 18 years
3. Patients with terminal stage of disease (malignant cancer of any type, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, end-stage liver or renal disease).
4. HIV/HBsAg/HCV
5. Autoimmune disorders/Metabolic diseases
6. On long term steroids/ Immunosuppressants/ Chemotherapy
7. Osteoarthritis.
