Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
1) To determine whether the presence of diabetes mellitus influences the functional recovery after stroke.Timepoint: Immediate, 2 weeks and 3 months.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
1) To administer modified Rankin scale and Functional independence measure scale to patients admitted with cerebrovascular accident on admission, at 2 weeks and at 3 months after cerebrovascular accident.

2) To compare modified Rankin scale and Functional independence measure scale in patients with and without diabetes mellitus.

3) To correlate HbA1c at admission with the modified Rankin scale and Functional independence measure scale at 3 months.

Timepoint: immediate, 2 weeks and 3 months
