Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Age 18 years and above
- •2\. Consecutive patients with thyroid nodules \<4cm
- •3\. Clinically and biochemically euthyroid
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. History of intake of levothyroxine/metformin
- •2\. Any ultrasound or FNA evidence of thyroid malignancy
- •3\. Nodules causing compressive symptoms
- •4\. Coalescent thyroid nodules (not suitable for size analysis)
- •5\. HbA1c \>7\.5%
- •6\. History of significant neurological or psychiatric illness which may influence thyroid function
- •7\. Iodinated contrast exposure within past 6months
- •8\. History of neck irradiation or neck surgery
- •9\. Use of any medication that would affect thyroid functions
- •10\. Pregnancy or lactation
