Patients, who
• sustained an injurious fall leading to an inpatient stay at the OT at SALK. In this project, falls from bed or wheelchair are excluded. Furthermore, falls caused by collision with vehicles are excluded.
• manage their medication independently in order to be able to provide sufficient information about the medication in the interviews.
• are = 65 years.
• take = five long term medications.
• are physically and mentally capable participating an interview (Salzburg Dementia Test Prediction, SDTP) Here, a predicted MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination) with a cut-off of >25/30 (=no cognitive impairment) is targeted.
• are able to speak and understand the German language.
• signed the informed consent.
Patients are not complying with the inclusion criteria.

Name Time Method The principal aim of the study is to evaluate and compare the state of health, fall occurrence and medication status of geriatric patients after an injurious fall leading to hospitalization at the department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at SALK before (T0) and after (T1, T2, T3) the multidisciplinary medication review process via a mixed methods study.

Name Time Method The secondary aim of the study is <br>- on the one hand to obtain insights into geriatric patient`s subjective views through interviews before and after the medication review process, and<br>- on the other hand, to quantitatively characterize changes in the medication before and after the medication review process via geriatric screening instruments (MAI and PRISCUS) and parameters of patient`s medication.
