Inclusion Criteria
All preterm newborn babies (32-36 wks) delivered by normal vaginal and cesarean delivery at SBVP hospital Meerut who are living within 5 km radius of SBVP hospital, and who give consent
Exclusion Criteria
•Length of umbilical cord < 25 cm,
•meconium stained amniotic fluid with non vigorous babies,
•multiple births (twins, triplets),
•babies of Rh negative mothers,
• babies born with any major congenital anomalies
•cord prolapse, and cord anomalies like true knots
