Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Preterm newborns who are admitted to NICU in Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Perinatal Asphyxia
- •Abnormal Neurosonogram (Grade III/IV IVH â??Papille Classification and Periventricular Leucomalacia)
- •Congenital anomalies
- •Overt or subclinical Seizures as interpreted during a\-EEG monitoring
- •Severe Sepsis/NEC/Shock or any systemic illness requiring hemodynamic support.
- •Patient not eligible for the study as deemed by the physician.
- •Medications with potential to interfere with electrical brain activity e.g. Sedatives, Narcotics, AEDâ??s.
