Preterm newborns who are admitted to NICU in Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
Perinatal Asphyxia
Abnormal Neurosonogram (Grade III/IV IVH â??Papille Classification and Periventricular Leucomalacia)
Congenital anomalies
Overt or subclinical Seizures as interpreted during a-EEG monitoring
Severe Sepsis/NEC/Shock or any systemic illness requiring hemodynamic support.
Patient not eligible for the study as deemed by the physician.
Medications with potential to interfere with electrical brain activity e.g. Sedatives, Narcotics, AEDâ??s.
