Age>=65years
ASA physical status I-III
Both males & females
Informed Consent
Patients previously diagnosed with dementia or stroke severe psychiatric or neurological diseases
Patients with known uncompensated cardiovascular disease or hepato-renal insufficiency or uncontrolled endocrine disease
Patients on an anti-depressant or anti-anxiety or anti-convulsant and anti-parkinsonism drugs
Known case of severe visual or auditory dysfunction
Known alcohol or substance abuse
Preoperative cognitive impairment as assessed by 4A test >=4 is delirium
Inability to perform neurocognitive tests
