Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1 \- Duration of mechanical ventilation of 48 h
  • •2 \- Clinical suspicion of VAP based on two or more of the following criteria:
  • •A \-Body temperature of \>38\.50°C or \<36\.0°C,
  • •B \-White blood cell count \>10,000 or \<4,000
  • •cells/mm3 ,
  • •C \-Purulent tracheal secretions,
  • •D \-PaO2 /FIO2 \<300 mmHg
  • •E \-Newly appeared CXR infiltrate

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1 Refusal of Consent
  • •2 Ongoing pneumonia
  • •3 Addition or escalation of antibiotics before
  • •performing Lung Ultrasound, Bronchoalveolar
  • •4 Pneumothorax
  • •5 Emphysema
  • •6 Thoracic dressing
