Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1 - Duration of mechanical ventilation of 48 h
- •2 - Clinical suspicion of VAP based on two or more of the following criteria:
- •A -Body temperature of >38.50°C or <36.0°C,
- •B -White blood cell count >10,000 or <4,000
- •cells/mm3 ,
- •C -Purulent tracheal secretions,
- •D -PaO2 /FIO2 <300 mmHg
- •E -Newly appeared CXR infiltrate
Exclusion Criteria
- •1 Refusal of Consent
- •2 Ongoing pneumonia
- •3 Addition or escalation of antibiotics before
- •performing Lung Ultrasound, Bronchoalveolar
- •4 Pneumothorax
- •5 Emphysema
- •6 Thoracic dressing
