Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1 \- Duration of mechanical ventilation of 48 h
- •2 \- Clinical suspicion of VAP based on two or more of the following criteria:
- •A \-Body temperature of \>38\.50°C or \<36\.0°C,
- •B \-White blood cell count \>10,000 or \<4,000
- •cells/mm3 ,
- •C \-Purulent tracheal secretions,
- •D \-PaO2 /FIO2 \<300 mmHg
- •E \-Newly appeared CXR infiltrate
Exclusion Criteria
- •1 Refusal of Consent
- •2 Ongoing pneumonia
- •3 Addition or escalation of antibiotics before
- •performing Lung Ultrasound, Bronchoalveolar
- •4 Pneumothorax
- •5 Emphysema
- •6 Thoracic dressing
