- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Determination of the glycemic index of ten industrialized enteral formulas commonly used in clinical practice, based on the method recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization. For the determination of the GI of any food, the FAO recommends that it be offered to at least 6 healthy individuals, as well as the standard food, in this case a standardized GI glucose solution. To do this, each participant will perform the two formulas test and the glucose solution test, and the GI values of the formulas will be determined by the ratio of the area below the glycemic response curve of the enteral formula and the glucose solution, value multiplied by 100, so that the GI is expressed as a percentage. The evaluation period will comprise the interval of 3 to 5 days for each experiment (offer of two formulas and later offer of the standardized glucose solution).
