age =20 years old
- low back pain (LBP) intensity =4 out of 11 on the numerical rating scale (NRS)
- LBP = 6 months
- previous failure of conservative management such as physiotherapy, exercise therapy, or analgesic medications - positive response (at least 50% reduction in LBP) to 2 set of diagnostic MBN block with local anesthetic (0.5 mL of 0.5% lidocaine)
- patient refusal
- age <20 years
- unbearable pain >9–points on NRS, pain <4–points on NRS
- signs of progressive motor weakness or neurologic deficits
- radiologic evidence of symptomatic herniated disc or nerve root irritation sign related to spinal stenosis
- previous RF treatment for similar symptoms
- acute pain of onset lasting <6 months
- allergies to contrast dyes
- coagulopathy
- systemic infection, injection site infection
- unstable medical or psychiatric illness
