20 years of age, in good general health, willing to participate, and had at least 18 erupted teeth (excluding third molars).
systemic diseases and conditions affecting the periodontal tissues (2) current pregnancy or lactation (3) a history of salivary gland dysfunction (4) use of anti-inflammatory medication or antibiotics in the previous 6 months (5) periodontal treatment in the last (past) 6 months (6) having a restorative and endodontic therapy requirement (7) having less than <18 teeth (8) smoking (9) having a removable partial denture and/or orthodontic appliances.
