Inclusion Criteria

1) Patients 18 years and above;

2) ASA physical status I & II;

3) Patients undergoing PSRS surgery,

4)Patients operated with thoraco-abdominal incision.

Exclusion Criteria

1.)Patients refusal to have catheter;

2) On systemic analgesic medication for some other ailment;

3) Patients with diabetic mellitus

4) Patient with cardiac disease

5) Base line heart rate less than 60 per minute.

f) Known allergy to any of the study drugs

Primary Outcome Measures

Reduction in Total fentanyl consumption in first 24 hours postoperative period.Timepoint: assessment of pain at 0,1,3,6,9,15,18 and 24 hours in postoperative period.
Secondary Outcome Measures

1)VAS at rest and on deep inspiration at 0,1,3,6, 9,15 ,18 and 24 hours post-operative period. <br/ ><br> 2.) Hemodynamic instability (Fall in blood pressure or heart rate more than 20% of base line) <br/ ><br> 3.) Total number of rescue antiemetic drug required in first twenty-four hours for Post-operative nausea and vomiting in both groups. <br/ ><br> 4.)incidence of Wound infection in first 5 days. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: first post operative day and upto uo to 5th postoperative day daily.
