Age of 18 and more than 18, irrespective of the gender
Patients with chronic liver disease with high risk esophageal varices
Exclusion Criteria
Patient are already on beta blocker
Extrahepatic portal vein obstruction
Hepatocellular carcinoma
Patients diagnosed with organ failure
Pregnancy
