Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Completely edentulous patients
  • •2\.Patients 60 years and above
  • •3\.Patients who have never used complete dentures and seek new dentures
  • •4\.Patients without cognitive impairment (MMSE \<24\)
  • •5\.Patients who are able to understand and respond to instructions and questionnaires.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients less than 60 years of age
  • •2\.Patients with uncontrolled diabetes(HbA1c \=6\.5%), an infectious disease or debilitating conditions (terminally ill or immuno\-compromised patients).
  • •3\.Patients who are obese(BMI \>30\) or with adequate nutritional status (Mini Nutritional Assessment score equals or above 24\)
  • •4\.Patients who will not be willing to participate in the study, or refuse to continue with the questionnaire.
  • •5\.Received professional nutritional counseling and following a prescribed diet plan or on oral nutritional supplements.
  • •6\.Living in an institution.
  • •7\.Patients with existing complete dentures seeking replacement.
