Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Completely edentulous patients
- •2\.Patients 60 years and above
- •3\.Patients who have never used complete dentures and seek new dentures
- •4\.Patients without cognitive impairment (MMSE \<24\)
- •5\.Patients who are able to understand and respond to instructions and questionnaires.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patients less than 60 years of age
- •2\.Patients with uncontrolled diabetes(HbA1c \=6\.5%), an infectious disease or debilitating conditions (terminally ill or immuno\-compromised patients).
- •3\.Patients who are obese(BMI \>30\) or with adequate nutritional status (Mini Nutritional Assessment score equals or above 24\)
- •4\.Patients who will not be willing to participate in the study, or refuse to continue with the questionnaire.
- •5\.Received professional nutritional counseling and following a prescribed diet plan or on oral nutritional supplements.
- •6\.Living in an institution.
- •7\.Patients with existing complete dentures seeking replacement.
