Inclusion Criteria
diagnosis of at least one psychopathological disorder of the mother during the postpartum phase
// Age of the child is 12 months or younger
// the mother adequately speaks the German language // written agreement of both custodians
Exclusion Criteria
Acute substance abuse of the mother //
Acute psychosis of the mother //
acute suicidal tendencies of the mother //
Alcohol embryopathy suspected //
severe chronic organic impairments of the child //
other psychotherapy of mother or child //
Participation of mother or child in other clinical trials

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Maternal sensitivity in the interaction with the child measured by the sensitivity subscale of the Emotional Availability Scale (EAS) at the end of the 6-week intervention. The EAS is measured by videotaped interactions of mother and child and evaluated by blinded, certified judges.
