Inclusion Criteria

self-reported mental disorder
- written informed consent
- sufficient knowledge of German (required for HOP participation and self-report measures)

Exclusion Criteria

- Diagnosis of only a substance use disorder without non-substance-related current psychiatric comorbidity.
- intellectual disability
- acute psychotic symptoms
- acute suicidality

Primary Outcome Measures

Primary endpoint is self-stigma at T1 (six weeks after baseline) as assessed by the 5-item self-concurrence subscale, Self-Stigma of Mental Illness Scale, Short-Form (Corrigan et al, 2012).
Secondary Outcome Measures

In T0, T1 and T2 the following data is collected:<br>• Quality of life (8-item EUROHIS-QOL [Brähler et al, 2007]), <br>• Depressive symptoms (9-item Patient Health Questionnaire [Löwe et al, 2004]), <br>• Stigma stress (8-item Stigma Stress Scale [Rüsch et al, 2009]), <br>• Self-labelling and shame [Rüsch et al, 2014], <br>• Attitudes towards seeking professional help (3-item subscale of the General Help-Seeking Questionnaire [Wilson et al, 2005; Waldmann et al, 2020]), <br>• Attitudes towards disclosure of own illness [Mayer et al, 2022], <br>• Recovery (Self-Identified Stage of Recovery, Part B with 4 items [Andresen et al, 2020]), <br>• Social inclusion (10-item Experiences of Social Inclusion Scale [Leemann et al, 2021]), and <br>• Objective social outcomes (4-item Social Outcomes Index/SIX [Priebe et al, 2008]). <br><br>HOP participants will evaluate the HOP programme at T1 (after the last HOP session).
