- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
The primary outcome of this study is the change in isometric quadriceps

strength (Biodex). Quadriceps strength is measured at baseline, after 2 and

after 4 weeks.

- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
Secondary parameters are changes quadriceps cross sectional area and volume

(MRI and ultrasound), handgrip strength (dynamometer), power of the lower limb

(chair rise time test), physical fitness (Åstrand-Rhyming test), habitual

physical activity (accelerometer) and daily protein intake (24h recall

questionnaire). Parameters are assessed at baseline, 2 weeks and 4 weeks.

Habitual physical activity and protein intake will be assessed at baseline and

after 4 weeks.
