Patients presented with an acute CPPD attack, and crystal-proven CPP crystal by arthrocentesis
1. Secondary cause of CPPD
- hemochromatosis
- hyperparathyroidism
- hypophosphatasia
- hypomagnesemia
2. Septic arthritis or Uncontrolled systemic infection
3. DKA or HHS
4. BP >180/110 mmHg
5. Active GI hemorrhage
6. Prior use of colchicine or NSAIDs in past 1 week
7. Neurologic deficit causing decreased pain sensation around the involved joint
8. Intubated
9. Used of corticosteroid due to other indication (such as COPD with acute exacerbation)
