Patients of either gender above 18yrs of age
Willing to give written informed consent
Proteinuria more than 1000mg/day confirmed on two consecutive 24 hr urine samples and with serum creatinine less than 2 mg/dl
Pregnancy or planned childbearing during specified study period
Serum creatinine more than 2 mg/dl and/or potassium more than 4.8mg/dl
Preexisting severe hepatic dysfunction
Uncontrolled hypertension (>160/100 mmHg)
Uncontrolled diabetes (random blood sugar >300)
Hemodynamic instability (systolic BP <90mmHg, NYHA III-IV CCF or other condition as judged by physician)
Bilateral renal artery stenosis
