- •Suffering from type II diabetes mellitus.
排除标准
- •Those who were on treatment for any diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesteraleamia were excluded from the study when their medications were changed due to any reason.
- •Advanced complications of diabetes, such as retinopathy with laser treatment, neuropathy with renal impairment and extensive diabetic ulcers.
- •Those who receive insulin therapy.
- •Those who did not consume rice as the staple food.
- •Patients who did not understand English and/or Sinhala language
