Inclusion Criteria
Indication for primary bariatric surgery (sleeve gastrectomy or Roux-en-Y gastric bypass)
Exclusion Criteria
- Previous bariatric surgery
- Allergies to drugs of the study protocol
- Sinuatrial of atrioventricular block
- Chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction < 40%
- Therapy with beta-blockers
- Heart rate < 50 beats per minute
- ASA status = 4
- Body mass index > 60 kg/m2
