Research group: Persons having Parkinson's disease and who are willing to cooperate, can be included in this study. Inclusion criteria are: Parkinson's disease, knowing the Dutch language, being able to give informed consent, age > 18 years.
Control group: No Parkinson's disease. People in this group have same age and lifestyle compared to the research group. Inclusion criteria are: knowing the Dutch language, being able to give informed consent, age . 18 years.
Having a medical condition, other than Parkinson's disease, that effects the oral health situation. Taking medication that effects the oral health situation.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method <p>Study variables included in the oral health assessment are: the number of<br /><br>teeth, the presence of a removable denture, the number of occluding pairs of<br /><br>teeth, caries, restorations, periodontal disease, and soft tissue lesions.<br /><br><br /><br>Te questionnaire contains questions on oral self care, dental visits, and<br /><br>subjective oral health experience. In the research group, the severity of<br /><br>Parkinson's disease will be registered using the Hoenh and Yahr index. </p><br>
