cohort 1A : sputum positive Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients who will be classified as cavitatory type on chest X ray or CT scan
cohort 1B : sputum positive Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients who will be classified as non cavitatory type - no cavity on chest X ray or CT scan
age more than 60 and less than 18 years, current smoking or alcoholism, presence of any prior chronic medical illness, pregnancy, drug resistant tuberculosis, tuberculosis patients with HIV co-infection, previously treated with ATT or other active lung infection like community acquired pneumonia, on steroids, anti inflammatory, anti convulsants, anti cancer drugs
