1.Age ≥ 18 years
2.Respiratory failure with mechanical ventilation more than 24 hours,
3.Ability to tolerate SBT for 1 hour before ultrasound
4.Patient readiness for weaning must have met all criteria: using FIO2 < 0.5, and PEEP ≤ 5 cmH2O, PaO2/FIO2 > 200, respiratory rate ≤ 30 breaths/minute, stable hemodynamic (absence or low dose vasopressors required), good consciousness and cooperative, minimal secretion and effectiveness of cough.
The patients or relatives of the patients refused to participate.
